COOKIES!!!
We had a great time making Christmas Cookies. Talmadge was such a big helper and loved eating our finished product. In fact we were so zealous with our cookies that we made enough to feed a neighborhood. It took us weeks to get rid of them but we did and luckly they still tasted fresh.
Johanson Family Christmas Party
This years Johanson Christmas Party might be the last one unless someone wants to keep up the tradition. Hopefully it will keep happening since it is so much fun to get together and see how everyone's family has grown. Talmadge was so fun this year. He really understood what was going on. Since Grandpa Johanson passed away 2 weeks before the party, Grandma Johanson decided to give each grandson and great-grandson one of his ties. Along with the tie was a touching poem about his ties and how the tie that the grandchild received might have been a tie he wore for one of their special occasions. When Santa Claus came, Talmadge was so funny. He must have been caught up in the moment because he just ran up to Santa Claus and gave him the biggest hug (I've posted this picture because I couldn't believe it). All sentiments ended as soon as it was time to receive his present from Santa. As you can see in the picture, Talmadge wanted nothing to do with Santa. Even though Talmadge refused to sit on Santa's lap, he still got a present. He recieved "The Three Little Pigs" and an orange. The very first picture is a picture of Talmadge dressed up as a shepard. He really enjoyed dressing up for the Nativity scence. After the nativity, Grandma Johanson rallied a few grandchildren to sing a few Christmas Carols. Talmadge loved having his front row view of all the action. Even though it was sad that Grandpa Johanson was not at the party we could feel that he was checking in on us and probably getting a kick out of everything.Temple Square
We took Talmadge to Temple Square to view the lights. He loved all the lights and manger scences. His favorite part was climbing and walking along the low-profile walls. As our family tradition, we took a picture of us in front of the temple.
Christmas Village in Downtown Ogden
We went to downtown Ogden on a very cold December night to view the Christmas village along with all the lights. We each had on 2 pairs of pants, several layers of shirts, 2 pairs of socks, as well as golves, hats, and boots. Talmadge looked so funny with a pair of my socks pulled up over his knees but I'm sure he was super warm.

Talmadge was so funny with the broken earphones. He first started singing as if he could hear music out of them and then he decided to see where a tire gauge and phone charger could go on his face. He does this a lot to test his boundaries. If I notice he is doing something that he shouldn't do I try to tell him what he can do instead. My favorite part of this video is the kiss he blows at the end. He is so much fun!! Did you notice his snow boots? He loves wearing them around the house. I guess it gets him excited to go play in the snow. What a cutie pie!!
Pre-Thanksgiving Dinner 11/18/07
Jason and Noi had us over for a pre-Thanksgiving dinner. It was great to have my family that lives close by over to catch-up on our lives. Of course Noi made wonderful Thai food with plenty of leftover for everyone to take home. It was a great time getting together.

"i want play in snow"
After the first snow fall of the season (12/01/07), Talmadge wanted to go play in the snow. He kept saying, "I want play in snow" so we went outside to play. The top picture is of him waiting for me to take him outside after he had me put his hat and gloves on. The bottom picture is him with our snowman we so elegantly made. Talmadge loved playing in the snow. His favorite thing to do was "hit" the snowman. He kept saying "hit snowman" and would hit the snowman. He saw me patting snow on the snowman so he thought I was hitting the snowman. Besides hitting the snowman, Talmadge enjoyed eating the snow as you can clearly see in this picture. No matter how many times I ask him not to eat the snow it is just too much fun to do. It must have a pretty good flavor. Tuesday, January 15, 2008
Italy
Cameron and I had the opportunity to go back to Italy August 29, 2007 to September 13, 2007. It was so awesome to go back to that beautiful country to enjoy the delicious food (it has been too long since we've had a gelato), wonderful people, and to be able to share it with Cameron's parents. While in Italy we spent most of our time on the Italian Rivera (Savona) and made it down to Roma for a 3 day frenzy. Roma was magnificent. I loved that area!! Any one planning a trip to Roma, I'd advise just taking public transportation. You will get around much easier and have less stress. Cameron drove and it took him an hour to find our hotel (just down the street from the Vatican). While there we just parked the car and purchased a "Roma Pass" which enabled us to take any public transportation through Roma. When it was time to leave, Cameron and his dad mapped out our departure but it still took us 45 minutes to get out of Roma due to detours and traffic. Any one who has driven in Roma can account that the drivers are very aggressive. On our way back to Savona we were able to visit Pisa and see the famous Leaning Tower. That was really impressive just because you walk around a corner and bam it is right there. We loved every minute that we spent in Italy but we were getting homesick. I was missing Talmadge so the long 14 hour flight home didn't make it fun for me. It was even harder for me because there was a young boy on the flight that was about Talmadge's age. He was having an extremely hard time so it made me realize that we had made a wise decision in leaving Talmadge with Cameron's counsin. He wouldn't have enjoyed the trip at all. Italy was a blast and we are excited to go back again!!
Real Pizza
As you can tell by the smile on Cameron's face he is excited to have real Italian pizza again. Nothing beats Italian pizza. It is the best!!

Our Big Helper, helping us pack!
This summer Cameron and I were able to go back to Italy with his parents. We were invited to Valeria's wedding and decided to make a grand trip and see a few sights that we didn't get to see while we were there before. These 2 pictures were taken at the airport at six in the morning while we were waiting to board our plane.
All About Birthday Number 2
We celebrated Talmadge's 2nd birthday with family and friends. This year's theme was dinosaurs. There were green streamers hanging from the ceiling and blue balloons on the floor. The party started out with each of the little guest going on a dinosaur egg hunt to find an egg (balloon with crackling). Inside each egg was a mini dinosaur and dinosaur stickers. We then had 2 games for the youngsters to play. Pin the horn on the triceratops and dion-bone bowling (bowling with dinosaur bones). After the games we opened presents and had cake and ice cream. Talmdage had a blast opening the presents. He is understanding how to open them and thinks it is the coolest thing in the world. As you can tell by the pictures, the kids were excited by the presents as well. Talmadge is really into the Cars movie so he received car slippers and shoes. He also received clothes, cars and trucks, and a weebles fun toy. Talmadge had a blast and loved all the attention he received.

Let's go Swimming
Talmadge and Mommy were playing with swim goggles one day. Mommy just couldn't reset putting this cute little face up!!
ROAR...
Talmadge was a tiger this year for Halloween. We started the day off by going trick-or-treating with the library reading group. They lined up as a parade and went through the city and county buildings. Talmadge was able to share the fun with his best bud, Jackson who was a pirate. That evening we went around to the family and showed him off. Talmadge thought it was so cool that he was getting so many treats just for dressing up. We can't wait to see how excited he will be next year!
Wheee!!
After picking out a pumpkin we went and played on slides, road around in animal "cars", and bounced in a bouncing house. Talmadge LOVED it!!
Master Mind in the Making
Talmadge loves to line his toys up. It doesn't matter what toys they are as long as he can line them up side-by-side or one after the other. Some say his mind is very organized but I say it is a master mind the in making.
Filling in Some BIG Shoes
Talmadge was going through a phase where he loved to put our shoes on and walk through the house. He did a pretty good job walking in shoes that were 3 times the size of his.
