Pullman, WA-day 2

Today, Shari took us up on campus to their dairy. There we watched them make their famous "Cougar Gold". This cheese is cured for a year and then can last forever as long as it is not opened. It is pretty sharp cheese but really good. We then bought a can of Cougar Gold along with some cheese curds (which where were delic), and ice cream...of course. Later that day we went up to Brady's work, Decagon and received a small tour. Decagon seems like a really relaxed place to work. They had daily potluck lunches, basketball games, and they even had a race car station that Cameron had fun with. We also had Shari give us haircuts. Talmadge hated it. He was screaming but after awhile we were able to calm him down and distract him a bit. I guess we need to buzz his hair more often so he gets use to it. I didn't have any pictures from this day so I posted a few pictures of Talmadge and Jairden playing since they absolutely loved playing together. When Talmadge would wake up, the first thing he would ask was, "where are my friends".

Today we started the day by attending Jace's musical performance with his kindergarten class. It was cute to watch them sing and do actions with the songs. They were really good. Pullman might have the next American Idol! We then went to the science center. This was a really fun place were they have small animals and a lot of touch and feel discovery toys. Talmadge really like digging for the dinosaur bones. In the evening we had a picnic at Kamiak Butte. At first it was chilly with the wind but then we went on a little hike that warmed us right up. The funnest part was to watch Talmadge having fun with his cousins. They loved holding hands while they were hiking. How adorable!!

Pullman, WA-day 4

Cameron's Aunt Debbie & Aunt Joann

Cameron's Great Uncle Ivan's grave site

Yep, you are reading that road sign correctly.

Dinner at a Thai Restaurant in Pullman

What is a family get together without a "friendly" game of Nerts?

Right before Cameron and I were planning on going up to Washington to visit, Cameron's great uncle Ivan passed away. Ivan lived about 2 hours away from Shari's so we were able to attend his funeral. Cameron's parents drove up with his cousin Kim, aunt Joann, aunt Debbie, and Grandma Sommers. Since the funeral was towards the end of our trip we asked Cameron's parents to stay another day to visit with Shannon and Shari's family. After the funeral we all went and had a delicious Thai dinner at their local Thai restaurant. It really made me miss Noi's cooking. She is such a good cook!! Before bed we all got rallied up with Nerts. Cameron's family loves playing this game whenever we all get together. I didn't do so swell but just as I was getting better, Kim joined in and that was the end of me. She is super fast and really good at Nerts!

Guys and Cars

"Here Shari, I'll help you up!"

Water...so tempting

We started the day at Chipman & Taylor's car show. It was fun to see the locals with their show cars. Even though they didn't have Cameron's '67 GTO, it was fun to see all the other cars. They even had a VW Passat that was an all electric car. I thought that was a pretty cool car even though you couldn't go on road trips with it since it could only go about 70 miles before needing another charge. In the afternoon we relaxed and Shannon got a great picture of Talmadge and Jairden on Brady and Shari's bed while watching a movie. They had to cover themselves up while they were on the bed. Too cute! For dinner we had a BBQ inside since it was sprinkling outside here and there. Finally it cleared up and we went on a walk along a river that has a beautiful path. Then he went and had some ice cream at a little shop called "Licks".

"Cheese"

The caption captures this moment but just as a story behind this picture I'll explain. I found Talmadge sitting in his stuffed toy basket playing with his stuffed animals. He sure loves animals! So I hurried and grabbed my camera and took this picture. I'm really surprised he stood still for this picture since he normally wants to see the pictures on the camera before I take them. (Kiss)

Eating...YUCK!

For awhile, I was having a hard time trying to think of something to eat because nothing sounded good to me. I would get hunger pains and when I get those I don't have time to cook anything. One day I decided to treat Talmadge and me to a hamburger at the local fast food joint. While we were waiting I started taking pictures of Talmadge and thought they were pretty cute.

This face looks like how I feel a lot of times when I think about food.

We finally had a nice and semi-warm day a few weeks ago so we decided to go outside and blow bubbles with Talmadge. It was hilarious to watch Talmadge because he would blow so hard but no bubbles would come out. So he thought if he put the wand on his lips that would change the situation. Nope! So Cameron just blew bubbles while Talmadge chased them. Talmadge makes me laugh because he wants to be so big and do everything that we do. "Don't worry cutie, you will grow up fast enough."

The Mudrow Gang

This post is for my Mom since she doesn't get to see us all together very often. I met my brothers and Dad in Salt Lake to spend the afternoon with them. It was fun to be with them since we don't get to do much together. We went to Chuck-a-Rama. My Dad's fav since you can eat all you can stuff into your stomach in one sitting. You won't know it by looking at my Dad but he sure can pack it in. He has an incredible metabolism that I wasn't lucky enough to inherit. Dang! After dinner we were going to go to a movie but it was getting late and I needed to get Talmadge home before he started to get too tired to enjoy our visit. It was a blast to be with my brothers and Dad. We really need to get together more often!!

Announcement

Just wanted to let everyone know that we are EXPECTING!! The new bundle of joy is expected to arrive sometime around December 2nd. In Cameron's family, that is a busy time of the year so there is a chance that we might have the baby on some one's birthday unless it decides to come early, then we could have a Thanksgiving baby. We are really excited and can't wait! It will be really interesting to see how Talmadge shares his limelight. I think he will o.k. at first since he absolutely loves babies but once things settle he might have problems since he will start to realize the baby is here to stay and will be sharing the attention. Nevertheless, he will be a great big brother!!
